LANCASTER, PA – Out of an abundance of caution regarding the spread of COVID-19, effective March 13 HDC MidAtlantic (HDC) has suspended resident group activities for all 58 of its housing communities. This protocol will remain in place until further notice.
“Our number one priority continues to be the health and safety of our staff and our residents,” stated HDC’s President and CEO Dana Hanchin. “While we are living in a time of uncertainty, we believe that working together we can move through this. HDC is proud of all the ways, big and small, that our team has stepped up to this challenge.”
HDC’s staff has implemented a holistic action plan to monitor and evaluate the risk of exposure and infection for our staff and residents, and is following guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state and local public health officials across the footprint of our operations.

Wendy Smith serves as the Vice President of Property Management, responsible for the overall strategic direction for HDC’s management portfolio and the organization’s largest staff team. Previously, Wendy served as Asset and Operations Manager for a leading real estate firm based in New York City which owned over 11,000 affordable homes. Since 2008, Wendy has held roles in regional level operations for commercial and for-profit housing agencies. Wendy holds a degree in International Studies.
